The competition aims to highlight the cultural, social, and tourism potential of camels, while also drawing attention to the important role of this animal in the life and culture of the local community.

In the “Oshtoran Fashion Show,” participating camels will be evaluated based on physical health, anatomical proportions, natural beauty, grooming, and creativity in decoration.

In this competition, beauty is not limited to outward appearance or decorations. The camel’s health and physical well-being will be among the most important criteria in selecting the winning camel.

• Proper nutrition and care
• Healthy skin, coat, eyes, and limbs

• Proper posture and body structure

2. Anatomical Proportions and Beauty

• Overall body proportions
• Head and neck shape and proportions
• Proportion of the legs to the body
• Proper standing and walking posture
• Natural beauty and overall form of the camel

3. Grooming and Appearance

• Cleanliness and grooming
• Overall visual harmony
• Attention to detail
• Compatibility between the camel’s appearance and its design

4. Creativity in Decoration

• Creativity and innovation in design
• Beauty and harmony of colors
• Creative use of local and cultural elements
• Inspiration drawn from the island’s culture and identity
• Uniqueness and originality of the decorations

5. Presentation During the Carnival

• The camel’s presence along the carnival route
• Coordination between the camel and its owner
• The way the camel is introduced and presented
• The appeal of the camel’s presence to the audience

Animal Health Comes First

In the “Oshtoran Fashion Show,” animal health and welfare take priority over any form of decoration or beauty.

Decorations must not cause the animal pain, stress, injury, restricted movement, or discomfort.

The use of any item or method that puts the camel’s health, comfort, or safety at risk will result in disqualification from the competition.

Prizes

Valuable and distinguished prizes will be awarded to the most beautiful and outstanding camels in the competition and their owners.

The winners will also receive a Certificate of Appreciation and the honorary title of “Featured Camel of Hamam Oshtoran.”
